Hi, thanks for stopping by. I am Erika Nelson commissioned multimedia artist. I am a wheelchair user due to post polio syndrome and scoliosis. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BFA in Drawing and Painting. I have used my degree as a commissioned artist, an exhibiting artist and as a Senior Graphic Designer for Hollywood studios and Internet companies. Since summer of 1980,I have been a participating artist of the Very Special Arts (VSA). I am an exhibitor at VSA Galleries (California and National), member of VSA Orange County Board Advisory Committee, and I also demonstrate art activities sponsored by VSA. When you see a VSA exhibit, do take the time to view the artists' works . I hope you find something you like enough to buy because it will benefit our program which promotes disabled artists like myself. VSA has sponsored art shows in different galleries. I am pictured here with "Sex In The City" star Kim Cattrall (the lovely Samantha). She attended an art show I participated in held in (the late) Hanson Gallery, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA. She purchased one of my paintings and wanted to meet me at the opening. Kim was very nice and unpretentious. I was so please to meet her because I had been a fan of hers and always paid closer attention to productions that casted her like "The Gossip Columnist", "Porky's" (haha!), and "Star Trek", etc. I am business owner of "Erika's Friends". I represent hand-picked highly talented visual artists with physical disabilities like the famous Karen Wheeler of Las Vegas, Nevada. I have recently been accepted in the EBSQ+--juried division of EBSQ Art Group. It is a good group to grow with online.
