Anson Whiting aged 79 of 956 Kenneth St. SW., entered into rest Thursday afternoon. Surviving are one daughter Mrs. J. L. Snyder of McMillan Mich. Two sons George of this city, and Clarence of Alpine Station; one sister, Mrs. E. R. Lux of Lack City, Mich. And two brothers, Clarence of Clear Lake Wash. And William of Fergus Falls Minn. And 18 grand children. The body was removed to the Clarence D. Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc. Announcement later.

WHITING-Clarence D. Whiting, aged 88, of 323 Stowell, Comstock Park,
passed away Saturday. He is survived by two sons, James of Rockford
Vernon of Muskegon; two stepsons, Eldridge Anson of Muskegon, Hildrith
Anson of White Cloud; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday 2 p.m. at
the Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home, Sparta. Interment Alpine Cemetery.

WHITING-Mrs. Mary E. Whiting, aged 90, of 323 Stowell, Comstock Park,
passed away Wednesday at a local nursing home. She is survived by four
sons, Eldridge Anson and Vernon Whiting of Muskegon, Hildreth Anson of
White Cloud, James Whiting of Rockford; nine grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hanna Bowman of Grand Rapids;
one brother, Gene Wilson of Fremont; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 2 p.m. at the Hessel-Cheslek
Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Patterson officiating. Interment Alpine
Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.

James Whiting (Rockford) – James Verne Whiting, age 86 passed away at his
home on Wednesday, March 26, 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn,
He is survived by his son, Lloyd and Carol Whiting of Rockford; grandsons, James
V. and Treana Whiting, Lloyd V. and Dedee Whiting; 5 great grandchildren;
brother Vernon Whiting of Muskegon; several cousins, nieces and nephews. As Mr.
Whiting had wished cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be
held. Interment of Cremations Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may
make memorial contributions to Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids.
